Australian post-punk outfit The Lonesomes are back, unveiling their latest single, ‘Buzz’, set for release on April 25th, alongside a run of East Coast shows presented by Beats Cartel, in Newcastle, Sydney, and the Gold Coast.
Known for their blistering live performances and boundary-pushing sound, The Lonesomes have firmly cemented themselves as one of Australia's most exciting underground acts, sharing the stage with the likes of The Chats, Bad Dreams, Ruby Fields, Mini Skirt, and Dune Rats. Following the success of their last single, ‘Locket’ which saw widespread acclaim and global airplay, the band once again teamed up with producer George Carpenter, who co-produced ‘Buzz’ after previously collaborating with them on their last two singles.
Showcasing the rawest and most stripped-back side of the band to date, ‘Buzz’ taps into a visceral energy, delivering a track that balances intensity with an undeniable sense of vulnerability. “We can’t wait to get back on the road and bring ‘Buzz’ to life on stage. It’s our rawest and most bare-boned song yet, and we feel it’s a new side to the band that people haven't seen before,” says frontman Callan. “Last time we played these shows for the ‘Locket’ tour we had such a blast, so we are keen to get down there and do it all again.”
Catch The Lonesomes as they tear through Australia’s East Coast, and be sure to stream ‘Buzz’ when it drops on all major platforms on April 25th.
